About Northern Heritage
 Northern Heritage is a traditional family business which specialises in local interest gifts, guides and souvenirs with a focus on the history and heritage of North East England and surrounding areas. We operate as a wholesaler to many local retailers, as well as this web store and direct mail order catalogue.
Our range includes books, DVDs and traditional gifts with a northern heritage theme, many of which are exclusively produced for Northern Heritage. Our offices and shop are located on Lord Ridley’s Blagdon Estate near Morpeth in Northumberland where you are welcome between 9 and 5 Monday to Friday. (Open Saturday during November and December)

Archive Restoration
 Many of our DVDs and books are compiled using archive cine film and photos that have been kindly donated by local people and organisations who are keen on seeing their material restored and made accessible to the public for future generations.
We really appreciate this help in finding old material which can otherwise deteriorate through time and sadly be lost forever. Fortunately we now have the help of Castlecross Productions who specialise in film archive restoration and video digitisation using professional High Definition Tele-Cine machines. Excellent results can be achieved from old film that at first glance looks unwatchable. Almost all transfers are infinitely better than the original, allowing nostalgic film a new lease of life on DVD for future generations. For more info see: www.castlecross.co.uk
Archive Collection
We are always looking for interesting cine film and photographs to add to our growing Northern Heritage Archive from which we hope to continue to produce interesting, historical and nostalgic programmes and publications for you to enjoy.
We are currently looking for 16mm cine film of places and people in the North East before 1970.
